Supported by Arts Council for England, Four Women is a collaborative project focused on the four archetypal roles of African American women portrayed in the same named Nina Simone song.

With members of the Untold orchestras string section collaborating with artists including DJ Paulette, Shirley May, Seren Marimba, Maisha Kungu, Jenna G and Yemi Bolatiwa, the project creatively interprets these four archetypal roles to a soundtrack of chamber music written by composers Jessie Montgomery, Daniel Bernard Roumain and of course, Nina Simone.

The impact of Nina's performance at the NIA Centre in 1991 has helped in shaping our vision as an orchestra. We are continuing to build on Four Women with a new piece entitled Movement, set for 2024.
